Hi everyone! Hope my posts about home decor are coming handy for you guys. This time we’re gonna talk about that room in the house that is often overlooked in terms of styling and effective organization. Because today’s topic is ” How to style and organize small bathrooms”.
We’re specifically going to focus on ‘small bathrooms’.
It’s because a lot of people feel like small bathrooms are tricky to find the right stuff for as there’s such little space.
However, it’s not all that hard, you know? You just need little strategic ideas for it.
I am here with a lot of inspiring ideas and tricks you can use to turn your tiny bathroom into another beautiful space in your home.
1. A GALLERY WALL / WALL ART
Go for fun/ quirky wall art and paintings to hang up and choose a spot that catches the eye the moment you enter the bathroom.
Adding a gallery/ art wall in a bathroom can instantly uplift its vibe.
Plus it gives you something to look at while you’re doing your business, huh?
2. PLANTS- LOTS OF ‘EM!
Add in plants and add in loads of them. Plants are the best way to decorate any space and bring life to it.
Some of the best plants for bathrooms that can thrive in low sunlight exposure are: Aloe Vera, Bambo, Begonia, Boston Fern, Cast Iron Plant, Chinese Evergreen, Dieffenbachia, Dracaena.
The best part about adding these plants in your bathroom is that you have to do the bare minimum to maintain them while they add lots of beauty to your bathing space.
If you have less space and want to add in a lot of plants, consider hanging them to the ceiling. It will save space and also add a chic look.
You can also easily DIY this by taking a ladder and laying it flat. Then tie it with ropes and hang it to the ceiling. Now plants can easily be hung to it. Just make sure when you’re DIYing it, tie everything super tight and make sure it’s stable and secure.
Another great way to add plants while saving space is to create a plant wall like the one below. Making one inside the shower cubicle will make you feel like you’re showering in a rainforest. How relaxing!
3. ADD MULTI-PURPOSE FURNITURE/ STORAGE PIECES
The best way to save space in small bathrooms is by investing in storage pieces or furniture that is multi-purpose.
For example this rolling table below. A rolling serving cart can be used as an excellent storage piece for your bathroom and looks super attractive too.
You can add in some candles and flowers on top and stack up shower gels or towels below.
It can serve a lot of purposes inside the tiny bathroom while also looking classy.
More cool examples of multi-purpose storage pieces.
4. TIERED TRAYS
Want to make your bathroom look like a spa? Add tiered trays! They look amazing and add this whole spa-like vibe to a bathroom. And guess what? it’s the perfect way to declutter your bathroom counter.
5. BATHTUB CADDY TRAYS
6. OVER THE TOILET STORAGE/ SHELVES
To style and organize a small bathroom, the best way is to make the most out of all the space you have. The space above the toilet is often overlooked in terms of storage while there is a lot of potential.
So the best thing to do is to add one of these over the toilet storage shelves. And it will take care of all the clutter lying around while taking no space at all.
You can also style a ladder by cutting off its bottom steps to make it fit above the toilet. And then you can add some hanging baskets, towels, and hanging plants. Another great DIY project for a small bathroom!
7. VERTICAL STORAGE
8. FLOATING SHELVES
9. PRETTY FLOOR TILES
Want to make your bathroom look more classy but have no space? The best way is to just change your tiles! Add in some patterned floor tiles and the vibe of the whole space will be uplifted.
Just like in the image below, the walls have white tiles, and there is no particular decorative furniture or other stuff. The whole bathroom is lit up entirely because of the cool floor tiles. How great is that?
10. GLASS CANISTERS
For the clutter on your bathroom counter, getting some glass canisters is a great solution. They look high-end and sophisticated and can store a lot of stuff! Placing them on the counter will help you organize stuff and make it look decorative as well.
To class it up, even more, place these glass canisters or mason jars in a wooden tray along with some candles or other quirky stuff!
11. VINTAGE CABINETS
Adding in some vintage cabinets is another great solution to class up your bathroom storage. It’s also budget friendly as you can buy a great vintage cabinet from a thrift store or a garage sale. But it looks so classy sitting in your bathroom and also stores up a lot of stuff.
