Summer is rapidly approaching, and it’s time to start getting our skin back on track and in shape for the summer season. Below are five essential steps to ensure your skin is ready for the heat during the summer season.

Exfoliate and remove dead skin cells

To keep your skin healthy throughout the heat of the summer, exfoliation is essential. Following this, you can keep up a home exfoliation routine. You may avoid blemishes and a dreary look by using a gentle scrub, usually once a week, to exfoliate dead, dry patches from your body and face. In particular, to aid in cell turnover and remove debris and oils left on the skin’s surface, exfoliating once a week (rather than every day) can be very useful for skin tone and smoothness.

Hydrate regularly 

Maintaining your skin’s moisture is just as crucial as exfoliating. You don’t require the heaviness of winter moisture during the summer, so switch to lighter moisturizers, like the Blue Lagoon body hydrating products that have a lightweight formula and contain top-notch ingredients. People tend to underestimate this important step, leading to dry, patchy skin. Moreover, your oil glands may overreact to the dryness and produce more oil to get the nourishment your skin needs, but this can lead to breakouts.

Apply SPF daily

Using sunscreen is crucial. Even if your makeup contains sunscreen, it must have an SPF of 30 or more, be applied before heading outside, and then reapplied every two hours or earlier if you exercise or swim. If a product is water-resistant, you must reapply it if you swim or get wet. Always search for broad-spectrum to protect your skin against UVA and UVB rays.

Shave properly 

Since razor burn is neither enjoyable nor attractive: Keep the body thoroughly lathered during shaving and replace your blades frequently. Moreover, take brief showers. Showers that are long and hot might be drying. Instead, use lukewarm water for a few minutes before finishing with a cold rinse to tighten pores and restore skin that feels and looks smooth. You’ll prolong the duration of your shave and possibly have less hair to cut later this summer if you use a moisturizer that minimizes shaving irritation.

Get rid of bacne 

Be warned that your pre-bikini exercises may make your bacne worse. Make it a habit to shower immediately after working out, and give up the form-fitting tees in favor of airy, looser cotton alternatives. If you can’t take a bath immediately, remove your sports bra to allow your skin to breathe. Then, use an anti-acne medicinal wipe to remove every inch of the affected area.

If you are regularly exposed to UV radiation, you could notice that you start sweating to maintain a cool body. You should consume a lot of water to counteract this loss of vital fluids. Your skin becomes more elastic overall and appears more hydrated when you drink water.
